Aweber Learning Curve

Although I signed up for Aweber several years ago for Elder Care Cafe, I’ve never used the email giant as I could have. For this year’s 365-Day Challenge through Tiffany Dow, I have committed to myself to learn as much as possible about list building and the tools that I can use to build lists for several of my sites.

To work toward that goal, my first course of study is to learn everything I can about Aweber and how theycan help me reach my list goals. What I like about Aweber is their dedication to training through their blog, training guides and live Webinars.

Putting what I learn into practice

This study is going to be ongoing for a while because I’m going to put into practice what I learn where it applies. I’ve already learned a few technical tricks, but also found out I had not yet written a welcome email for PLR Online! Oops! Fixed that yesterday as soon as I found out.

Unsubscribes bring sadness

I did have one person unsubscribe from the PLR Online list yesterday, and I certainly understand as I’ve unsubbed from numerous lists over the years. While I’m sad to see someone leave, it makes me want to be more welcoming and useful to those who are still on the list.

The one thing I am sad about is that I don’t know why the person unsubbed, so I don’t really know what I can do to keep others from doing the same. I’m sure I don’t send too many emails – actually, not enough due to not getting PLR packs done as often as I should. But, I would really like to know if they are not satisfied with the quality of PLR, the topics I have so far, or just tired of getting email period.

I did send a second email last night due to Tiffany’s 72-hour special sale, but the unsub came before that.

As I learn, I share

As I learn throughout the next few weeks, I will mention some points that I hope will help you as well. While I’m learning about Aweber, I also have a great desire to learn more about DL Guard as well.

There are some technical issues that I don’t understand and also I’m sure there are better ways to communicate with people who purchase PLR packs from me. I’ve seen how others use DL Guard, but haven’t figured out as yet some of the finer points. So, that one is next.

One learning project at a time helps with concentration.

I’m taking one project at a time, but may learn some new things along the way as I pay more attention to the process as we build PLR Online to become a go-to store. At least, that’s the goal.

That’s it for now – hope you are having a good day and a good start to fulfilling your goals for 2012. Please do not hesitate to let me know if there is any way I can help.

Are you on a learning curve? How are you choosing to learn – by taking a course, learning through a particular site like Aweber, or sitting at the foot of your favorite guru?
